Spirals, Piggy Tails, Pumpkin Vines…

Loosely Cast on 8 stitches leaving a ~12 inch tail. You will use this extra yarn to later attach the spiral to your knitting.

Row 1: In each of the 8 stitches, knit in the front, knit in the back, and then KNIT IN THE FRONT AGAIN.  [One stitch becomes 3 yielding 24 stitches]
Row 2: Bind off all stitches purlwise.

If you want a long spiral cast on more stitches.

Break yarn and draw through the last stitch to finish and weave this end in. Use the cast on tail to attach the spiral to your knitting.
